The 2008 MDC begins
at 1:00 P.M. on
Thursday, November 6
with our final Block
Producer Safety Workshop
of the year. The
Associate Member Meeting
follows the workshop at
5:00 P.M. Then at 6:00
P.M., relax with your
friends and colleagues
while enjoying your
favorite beverage prior
to our very special
Industry Reunion,
Presented by Norbert
Rappl.
Besides learning
better ways to run our
businesses one of the
great values of the New
York State Concrete
Masonry Association is
the friends we make.
We've had some great
times over the years and
memorable experiences.
Just because you
may have retired doesn't
mean you can't come back
to visit with old
friends. Associates and
Producers- this is a
call for those of you
who may not have come
back for awhile- to come
to the Turning Stone and
catch up on what your
old friends have been up
to.
Norb Rappl will be
making a special
presentation on the
history of the New York
State Concrete Masonry
Association. The
Dagostino Family was
kind enough to share
some of Larry Sr's
library of photographs
and will show some of
the associations
proudest and most
hilarious moments. Bruce
Yenny whose father was
one of the original
partners when Dur-O-Wal
was founded- recently
gave us some of the
original newsletters of
the NYSCMA. . . .we'll
be displaying these at
the banquet.
This will be a
great evening you'll not
want to miss!
Rick Roach, NYSCMA
Chairman
After the banquet try
your luck in the casino,
but don't forget to
refresh yourself in
between turns at the
gaming tables with a
beverage in the NYSCMA
hospitality suite!
We begin again Friday
morning with a
complimentary breakfast,
followed by the NYSCMA
Member Meeting. We then
tackle the subject of
"Integral Water
Repellent Block and A
Block Producer's
Responsibilities &
Liability", with
presentations from three
of the most
knowledgeable
professionals in their
respective fields. We'll
continue after the lunch
break with a
presentation on a unique
program specifically for
CMU producers from
Diedrich Chemicals. For
our final topic of the
conference, we'll shift
gears and present a
subject that is sure to
resonate with every
family business owner -
"Keeping it in the
Family".
Whether you are an
owner, or are in sales,
production or
administration, the 2008
Member Development
Conference has something
for everyone.
See you November 6 &
7 at
Turning Stone Resort!
